Sat - Aug 23 11:00 AM BCPWA Society - Annual General Meeting 2008 When: Saturday, August 23, 2008 at 11:00 am Where: Best Western Chateau Granville [ Map ] 1100 Granville Street, Vancouver Registration: 10:00 am - 11:00 am Meeting begins at: 11:00 am (sharp) Look for your AGM package in the mail beginning July 14th The membership will meet to receive the Annual Report of the Directors, consider amendments to the By-laws of the Society, if any, and conduct other such business as is deemed necessary in accordance with the Constitution and By-laws of the Society. Please note that FIVE (5) two-year term positions on the Board of Directors of the Society are to be elected for the period 2008 - 2010. Members wishing to have business placed on the agenda for the Annual General Meeting should submit it prior to June 18th. A letter to the Secretary of the Society containing: (1) a brief paragraph describing the specific intent of the business, and (2) a properly worded motion pertaining to the business should be sent to the Society’s registered office at: 1107 Seymour Street, 2nd Floor Vancouver, BC, V6B 5S8 Important Dates to Remember: By June 18th Resolutions from the Members to be submitted to the Secretary, BCPWA Not later than July 14th Mail out of AGM Packages On August 5th AGM Packages will be ready for pick up from Member Services (Reception) Desk for individuals who do not receive mail August 8th Last day Proxies are Mailed August 15th Last Day Proxies May be Requested for Pick up If you have any questions or would like to receive a copy of the Society’s Annual Report, please call Ken Buchanan, Secretary, at 604-646-5345 and leave a confidential message. To ensure accuracy, please spell your last name slowly and leave a contact phone number.
