    The Canadian HIV/AIDS Legal Network is the only national, community-based, charitable organization in Canada working exclusively in the area of policy and legal issues raised by HIV/AIDS. The organization produces, and facilitates access to, accurate and up-to-date information and analysis on legal, ethical, and policy issues related to HIV/AIDS, in Canada and internationally.

[ Canadian Memorial AIDS Quilt ]
    Canadian Memorial AIDS Quilt Quilt is made up of more than 500 three-foot by six-foot panels, each panel created in memory of someone who has died of AIDS. Eight panels are sewn together to form a single 12-foot square called a Section. More than 70 of these Sections form the Canadian Quilt. Each Section can be laid on the floor or hung for easy viewing.

    A national organization directed by people living with HIV/AIDS, the Canadian Treatment Action Council promotes informed public policy and public education, and promotes awareness on issues that impact on access to treatment and health care for people living with HIV/AIDS. [ Harm Reduction Coalition ]
    The Harm Reduction Coalition (HRC) is a U.S. organization committed to reducing drug-related harm among Individuals and communities by initiating and promoting local, regional, and national harm reduction education, interventions, and community organising. HRC fosters alternative models to conventional health and human services and drug treatment; challenges traditional client/provider relationships; and provides resources, educational materials, and support to health professionals and drug users in their communities to address drug-related harm.

[ National PASS Study ]

    The Canadian Treatment Action Council (CTAC) has conducted a community-based research project called "The National PASS Study. The data collection is complete and a report is expected early in 2004. PASS stands for the Post Approval Surveillance System that tracks side-effects and drug interactions of medications that are approved for sale and use in Canada.

[ Stephen Lewis Foundation ]
    The Stephen Lewis Foundation was created due to the astonishing outpouring of support from Canadians who want to join the effort to address the horror of the HIV/AIDS pandemic in Africa. Steven Lewis is the UN Secretary-General's Special Envoy for HIV/AIDS in Africa. His mandate is to ensure follow-up to the April 2001 Africa Summit on HIV/AIDS and to the July 2001 United Nations Special Session on HIV/AIDS.
